Cavs PG Ricky Rubio to pause career, focus on mental health

Cavs PG Ricky Rubio to pause career, focus on mental health

Cleveland Cavaliers and Spanish Public Group point watch Ricky Rubio declared Saturday that he was requiring his profession to be postponed endlessly to zero in on psychological wellness.

"I have chosen to stop my expert action to deal with my emotional well-being. I need to thank all the help I have gotten from the [Spanish national] group to figure out my choice," Rubio said. "Today #family seems OK than at any other time. Much obliged to you. I would ask that my security be regarded so I can confront these minutes and have the option to give more data when all is good and well."

Not long from now Rubio was supposed to lead the Spanish trying to guard their Reality Cup title in the Philippines. Yet, he left the group's instructional course this week in Madrid and didn't play in Spain's first warmup game Friday night against Venezuela.

Rubio, 32, was the MVP of the last World Cup in 2019 in China. Spain is as of now positioned No. 1 on the planet in front of the US in the wake of bringing home the European title the previous summer. The Spanish are as of now without harmed monitor Lorenzo Brown, a star in the rush to the Eurobasket title.

The 12-year NBA veteran had a disappointing year for the Cavs last season as he worked back from a torn leg tendon, the second of his vocation, endured during the 2021-22 season. He arrived at the midpoint of 5.2 places and 3.5 aids 33 games in the wake of rejoining the group middle of the season.

Rubio has two seasons and $12.5 million remaining on an agreement endorsed with the Cavs the previous summer.
